Preschool Teacher (part-time) Clinton Presbyterian Church 91 Center Street, Clinton, NJ 08809 Classroom Teacher, Preschool Clinton Presbyterian Church – Clinton, NJ 08809 Clinton Presbyterian Preschool is a week-day preschool program for children ages 3-5 with the goal of providing quality, affordable preschool education in a warm and nurturing Christian environment. We are seeking a Classroom Teacher who will work together with the staff using a developmentally appropriate curriculum. We aim to establish a program in which the uniqueness of every child is valued and where children can grow in confidence and independence while also learning to care for and respect others. Job Duties Prepare the classroom environment and materials to support developmentally appropriate curriculum plans and learning experiences Work together with the director to create and implement a dynamic daily program for preschool age children, with attention to mandated elements as components as outlined in the State of NJ Manual of Requirements for Childcare Centers. Assess individual and group needs, attending to specific interests, strengths and concerns Guide the behavior of the children in a positive manner which reflects Christian care and love Work with the Pastor and other staff to provide for opportunities of sharing Christian values with the children. Establish positive and productive relationships with families in the program Work with other staff to maintain a safe, clean, secure environment for the children Have a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education Job Requirements BA or higher in Education Demonstrated experience working with preschool age children Federal and State Clearances are required CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors and outdoors. Ability to interact with children at eye level i.e. sitting, kneeling, stooping, bending Complete and maintain annual training hour requirements Intermediate to advanced computer skills, word processing, internet and email

Job Type:

Part Time AM hours – not to exceed 8 hours per week,

Tu/Thurs Compensation:
