Preschool Lead Teacher Bright Future Learning Academy 214 Lackawanna Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ 07424 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. This role involves planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of students, ensuring their overall welfare, and promoting a love for learning. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support child development. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents on their child’s development. Incorporate various teaching methods, including developmentally appropriate practice (DAP), techniques, to accommodate diverse learning styles. Ensure compliance with child welfare regulations and maintain a clean and organized classroom. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education. Collaborate with therapists as needed to support students with unique learning requirements. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare or educational settings. Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to young learners. Familiarity with Creative Curriculum is a plus. Child Development Associate (CDA) is required. Candidates MUST have their CDA. Ability to recognize and address the individual needs of children, including those requiring special education support. Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, and staff members. Compassionate approach towards child welfare and development.
