PreSchool Teacher Woodland Park Public Schools 853 McBride Ave, Woodland Park, NJ 07424 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans that align with our curriculum while addressing the individual needs of each child. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to express themselves. Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Assess and document children’s progress through standardized testing and informal assessments. Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children’s development and address any concerns. Participate in curriculum development to ensure alignment with educational standards and best practices. Provide individualized support for children with special education needs or those requiring additional tutoring. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space, ensuring all materials are accessible and safe for children. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Experience in private school settings or daycare environments is highly desirable. Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and behavior management. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
