Full Job Description Pre-K & Kindergarten Teacher:

Develop lesson plans and instructional ideas according to the NJ State Common Core curriculum. Motivate students to participate in various educational activities. Develop creative learning opportunities for children’s educations, social and behavioral growth. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment at all times. Complete all required academy and classroom documentation, including daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance logs. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, school events, and parent meetings as requested. Supervise and engage with children during all classroom and outdoor activities. Provide guidance and support to children experiencing social, academic, or behavioral challenges. Prepare and implement lesson plans, daily programs, and classroom schedules that support developmental goals. Create and utilize instructional materials and teaching aids to enhance learning experiences. Assist children during mealtimes and help with clean-up routines. Ensure all classroom and playground equipment is safe, functional, and properly maintained. Organize the classroom into clearly defined interest areas to promote exploration and learning. Lead and support other classroom staff to ensure smooth and consistent daily operations. Communicate regularly with parents, sharing appropriate updates and maintaining accurate developmental profiles for each child. Schedule and conduct parent-teacher conferences as needed throughout the year. Maintain up-to-date and engaging bulletin boards, including the family information board. Administer and document classroom medications according to the prescribed schedule. Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.
