 Jamestown, NY. A Children’s Place. Toddler Teacher. FT. Benefits. $16.00- $17.00/Hour. A Children’s Place is looking for a NY State Certified teacher (Birth – 2 or Elementary with the Early Childhood Extension) for a Universal Pre-Kindergarten program. The Head Teacher is a member of the teaching team who shares responsibility with the Assistant Teacher for the care and education of an assigned group of children. The Head Teacher is responsible for implementing curriculum, supervising children, communication with parents, and providing a healthy and safe environment for children. This UPK program will follow the Jamestown Public School schedule and curriculum. To apply for this job you must : 1. Have a NY State Teacher Certification (Or working towards obtaining certification). 2. Have a Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree. 3. Have a great attitude and be excited about the amazing work you do. 4. Be flexible. 5. Be a team player. 6. Create and implement daily age appropriate lessons and activities. 7. Oversee the classroom paperwork including daily health checks, anecdotal note book, daily activity sheets, and lesson plans. 8. Communicate with parents daily. 9. Help with cleaning the classroom, hallways, and bathrooms as needed. 10. Help with diapering and potty-training Daycare and preschool workers are required to get 30 hours of training every two years, must have fingerprints, and a back ground check.
