Older Toddler/Pre-K Teacher Cortland Child Development Program Cortland, NY 13045 Summary We are looking for a qualified staff to co-lead our Pre-K A classroom You will be responsible for the care and education of children ages 3-4 in our Pre-K A Classroom. Duties Work with other Co-Lead to develop engaging lessons based on program curriculum Help complete Ages and Stages 2 times a year Lead classroom activities. Communicate with parents about children’s daily activities and their progress Ensure classrooms are neat and tidy after program on a daily basis. Fulfill other duties assigned by the Director. Requirements 1 year of experience with children under 6 years old Must have a current TB and Physical Cleared background check and fingerprints indicating ability to work with youth Nice To Haves Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communications skills CPR and First Aid MAT Trained Benefits Vacation time after 1 year of employment 4 hours of sick time each month starting immediately Medical, Vision and Dental Simple IRA where company matches up to 3% of your gross earning (after 1year of employment) About Us History The Cortland Child Development Day Care Program began operation in 1974 to provide early care and education for the children of parents who work or attend school. We are a not-for-profit agency, licensed by the State of New York. Our Programs are available to infants through preschoolers and children needing school-age recreational care on a year-round basis, open many of the days our public schools are closed. Enrollment priority is given to children with special challenges. Mission The Cortland Child Development Centers will provide safe and nurturing environments with opportunities for creative learning: Nurturing supervision will be given to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children while parents are working or pursuing their own education. A sliding scale, unique to household composition, will encourage accessibility and affordability for the diverse cultures we serve. We will strive to develop community relationships and partnerships with local educational institutions to enrich the experiences for our children and their families. Child Development will provide professional opportunities for those seeking real world experiences in early care and education.
