We are allowed to care for up to 12 children under the age and 4 additional school age (K-6) but we mostly focus on infants and young toddlers (up to age 4 because they have free pre-k in town.) We follow the same rules and regulations like the big daycare centers, just smaller with less stress and pressure. Feeding infants (bottles and solid foods as appropriate). Changing diapers and maintaining hygiene. Soothing infants through cuddling, singing, and other calming techniques. Putting infants down for naps and ensuring a safe sleep environment. Supervising playtime and ensuring the safety of all infants. Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities. Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and promoting positive interactions. Support classroom management by maintaining a structured environment conducive to learning. Engage with children through educational games, storytelling, and creative activities. Provide caregiving support, including meal preparation, feeding, and diaper changing as needed. Monitor children’s behavior and implement behavior management strategies when necessary. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas. Experience Previous experience in childcare settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or nannying is highly desirable. Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices is a plus. Experience working with special education needs or behavioral management techniques is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members. A genuine passion for educating and caring for young children is essential.
