Preschool Teacher Little Tulip Early Learning Center 248-12 Northern Boulevard, Little Neck, NY 11362 Preschool Teacher Little Tulip is looking for qualified Preschool Lead Teacher for our two years old classroom. Someone who is responsible for establishing and maintaining a classroom environment that utilizes space, materials, routines, and guidance techniques to effectively facilitate physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of the children. Job Schedule Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Responsibilities for

Lead Teacher:

Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to implement daily lessons and activities Ensures that children are supervised at all times as well as in the bathroom and outdoor Communicates frequently with children throughout the day, naming objects, actions, using who, what, when, where. and why, and open-ended questions. Exhibits behavior management consistent with Company philosophy, including reflecting children’s feelings, approaching children to speak with them, directing comments toward children’s behavior, not at the children themselves, etc. Co-plays/interacts with children during play activities both indoors and on the playground. Plans supervised activities for outdoors, or indoor gross motor play during inclement weather which prevents outdoor play Team up with teacher assistant to divide all duties related to childcare, including, potty training, diapering, feeding, cleaning, and nurturing Keep all records such as attendance, timesheets, visitor logs, accident reports, etc. Actively develop and maintain relationships with parents Report accidents, illness, and unusual behavior to the program director Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Develop positive relationships and communicate effectively with parents Attend professional development trainings Participate in other job duties, as assigned Qualifications Minimum Associate’s Degrees in Early Childhood Education or related subject+ Study plan welcome Two years of experience working with young children Provide names and contact information for three references Certification in infant/child CPR Reliable and punctual
