Certified early childhood teacher Staten Island Early Childhood Center Staten Island, NY 10301 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, focusing on their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires creativity in lesson planning and curriculum development to engage children in meaningful learning experiences. The Early Childhood Teacher will work closely with parents and caregivers to support each child’s growth and development. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early learning in various subjects, including math and literacy. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Provide individualized attention to each child to support their unique learning needs. Engage in early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and development. Collaborate with other educators to enhance curriculum development and classroom activities. Supervise children during playtime, ensuring safety and promoting positive social interactions. Document children’s progress through assessments and observations to inform future lesson planning. Skills Strong background in early childhood education with experience in toddler care. Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for young learners. Knowledge of early intervention techniques to support children with diverse needs. Experience working in daycare or private school settings is preferred. Ability to create engaging educational activities that incorporate math concepts. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues. A nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for teaching young children.
