Child Care Assistant Position Available In Allegheny, Pennsylvania

Child Care Assistant Montessori Centre Academy 1014 William Flynn Highway, Glenshaw, PA 15116 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role involves supervising and engaging children in various activities while ensuring their well-being and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to the physical and emotional needs of young children with warmth and care. Supervise and engage in play activities that encourage development and socialization. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment. Maintain accurate attendance records. Assist toddlers with restroom use and personal hygiene, including hand washing and diaper changes. Facilitate guided play activities tailored to the age of the children, such as music, movement, drawing, painting, simple puzzles, and reading, to enhance motor skills.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience caring for children in a group setting is preferred. Experience with children aged 2 to 12 years is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to interact with young children in a warm, calm, patient, and caring manner. Excellent communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations with discretion, tact, patience, and courtesy. Required clearances (employer will cover costs).
