Split Shift:

7:00am-8:15am & 2:30pm-6:00pm)

Stepping Stones Children’s Center (Pine-Richland School District; Gibsonia., PA)

Age Range:

4th- 6th grade $500 Signing Bonus after first 90 days. Pay range starting at $16.00 per hour.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:

Plans and implements daily program activities, including assisting the Site Director with designated activities. Ensures that monthly observations are being recorded for each child enrolled. Completed formal assessments (DRDP) twice per academic school year. Develops lesson plans for each day, posts them in the program and submits them on a weekly basis to the School Age Director (Monday mornings). Coordinates activities with Assistant Group Supervisor to ensure maximum learning opportunities. Plans and facilitates free play learning activities and structured learning activities. Communicates daily via written notes, email, and/or electronic portal about children’s activities and well-being. Sets clear rules and expectations of behavior for the children. Participates in individual group activities with the children, such as art, sports, games, outdoor play, etc. Encourages and supports children. Assists the Site Director in ensuring all Stepping Stones policies and DHS regulations are met and maintained. Ensures a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and guaranteeing the safety and security of the children. Attends monthly staff meetings and receives twelve (12) hours of training annually – including Fire Safety (annually), and EOP training (annually) and CPR/Pediatric First Aid (every two years). Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor. Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required Minimum of 2 years (2,500 hours) of professional experience working/volunteering with children. High energy. Ability to work well with others. An understanding of child development. Ability to interact with children on different levels including the floor, lift/carry children and supplies, and move around the center while supervising children. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Must pass full background check, drug screening test, and health screening. All other duties as assigned Educational Requirements High School Diploma and at least 2,500 hours experience working with children. Willingness to complete a CDA, SAC, or credit equivalent course work Company Information Stepping Stones is a non-profit childcare center based in Gibsonia, PA with multiple program offerings, including: (i) full-day childcare at our Main Center location in Gibsonia for infants through Pre-K, (ii) before and after school care programs for elementary school students in two local school districts (care is provided on school property), (iii) extended day program for half day kindergarten students in two local school districts, and (iv) full-day summer camp.
