Child Care Assistant Teacher Position Available In Dauphin, Pennsylvania

Child Care Assistant Teacher Hansel & Gretel Early Learning Center 4820 Londonderry Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17109 Hansel & Gretel Early Learning Center is seeking fun, loving, professional Early Learning Teachers to assist our team teachers in our Toddler, Preschool and Gradeschool programs! The ideal candidate selected for this position will be responsible for assisting in. all daily activities, supervision and safety of children. This person will be a friendly, energetic, team-orientated person and have a passion to educate and care for young children as well as be able to communicate in a professional manner with families. Candidates are expected to abide by the policies stated in the staff handbook and meet the requirements as stated in the PA DHS Licensing Regulations and Keystone STARS requirements. The teacher shall be responsible for and/or assist with: Work with assigned group of children applying best practices for toddler and preschool care. Facilitate and nurture the development of each child. Respond quickly to children’s different and personal needs (verbal and non-verbal cues), temperament styles, abilities, and cultures. Document daily individual needs, strengths, interests, attendance, and meal counts for each child. Plan and implement lesson plan activities and experiences that are developmentally appropriate. Prepare and provide materials that are concrete and relevant to the children’s interests and culture. Prepare the learning environment for children to learn through active exploration and interaction with adult caregivers. Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, parent meetings, parent-caregiver conferences and other duties as assigned. Candidate must be flexible, and communicate effectively.
