Preschool Teacher FAC is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our preschool educational team for the 2025-26 school year beginning in September. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The successful candidate will assist the PreK student ages 4-5 in aplishing tasks in preparation for kindergarten. This role requires a strongmitment to early childhood education and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way. As this is a church based preschool program, the candidate must understand and personally embrace the faith statements, vision and values of the First Alliance Church of Erie, PA and the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
Educate children in various subjects including math, language, and social skills through interactive activities.
Assess children’s progress through standardized testing and observations to tailor learning experiences effectively.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s development and any concerns that may arise.
Create a safe and weing classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with diverse learning needs.
Implement early intervention strategies as needed to promote childhood development.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities.
Must be a dedicated Christ follower with an understanding of the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.
Must demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus through spiritual disciplines, such as prayer, fasting, the study of God’s Word, etc.
MA deep sense of calling and passion for working with children and families.
Servant leadership with the ability to design, develop, implement, and lead a ministry , including volunteers and part-time staff.
Must possesses a passion for educating children and to see them know and follow Jesus.
An associate degree in education or related experience is preferred.
Along with the above job description, the preschool teacher will alsoplete any other responsibilities deemed necessary by the leadership of FAC.
Demonstrates spiritual maturity as evidenced by an authentic, humble, bold, and obvious love for God and His word.
Communicates God’s word effectively and relevantly in multiple contexts, including Preschool and family events and main services.
Effectivemunicator through formal and informal channels while determining which method is most effective given the situation with parents, leaders, children, members, colleagues, and members of themunity.
Exercise self-leadership in maintaining balance with family, spiritual and work life.
Desire to achieve and maintain excellence in Preschool Ministry programming
Works collaboratively with the Preschool Director to further the development of children’s skills in preparation for kindergarten Skills Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellentmunication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
Knowledge of childhood development milestones and special education practices is preferred.
Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods.
Experience in private school settings is a plus but not required.
Proficiency in using assessment tools for standardized testing in preschool settings.
