As an Assistant Group Supervisor, you’ll help create a safe, loving, and fun learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to school age. You’ll support our teaching team, guide daily activities and routines, and help our kiddos grow, learn, and laugh every day. A few things you’ll be rockin’ daily: Helping with snacks, naps, diaper duty, and tiny shoes (Velcro pros welcome) Creating colorful, engaging classroom spaces Planning play-based learning activities using Creative Curriculum Communicating with parents—sharing the giggles and the milestones Keeping your classroom clean, safe, and sparkle-ready Supporting kiddos emotionally, socially, and developmentally Reporting concerns and always putting safety first You’ll also float between classrooms when needed to keep our ratios safe and our smiles big. Rainbow Crew:
High School Diploma or GED — required Associate’s Degree — preferred A minimum of 2 years (or 2,500 hours) working with children — required (Yes! Babysitting counts!) A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential — preferred If you don’t have it yet, that’s okay! We can help you enroll! Clearances (We take safety seriously!): Before you start, you’ll need to submit applications for the following clearances: Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Clearance Department of Human Services Clearance FBI Clearance PA Child Abuse Clearance National Sex Offender Registry Clearance If you’ve lived outside of Pennsylvania in the last 5 years, you’ll also need clearances from those states too.
Health Requirements:
Health assessment and TB (Mantoux) test required before your first day A new health assessment is required every two years Can You Do the Wiggle? (Physical Requirements): Working with kids means staying active! You’ll need to be able to: Lift and move up to 30 lbs (with help for anything heavier) Be on your feet and moving most of the day Travel between PathWays locations or vendors if needed Use basic office equipment (computers, printers, etc.) And yes, you’ll be getting your steps in!
Expect plenty of:
Sitting, standing, running, walking, crawling, stooping, squatting, and the occasional dance party Reaching, lifting, jumping, sliding, and maybe even finger painting! Normal vision needed for supervision and documentation
