This position is scheduled to start August 14, 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year. If you have a passion for helping children to learn and grow and you have an Associates degree or a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education or a related field in child development, special education, elementary education, the human services with 30 ECE credits, we need you!

Summary of Duties:

Head Start Teacher provides early childhood education to approximately 20 children in a classroom comprised of children ages 3-5 from diverse backgrounds (culturally, ethnically, and socio-economically). The teacher is responsible for implementing the curriculum and daily plans while providing a safe and caring environment. Teachers also have the help of two assistant teachers. Requirements that must be satisfied prior to hire: a) proof of degree/certification and experience to meet the qualifications of the position; b) Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record check; c) FBI Clearance (finger printing); d) Child Abuse Clearance; e) National Sex Offender Registry certificate; and f) successful completion of pre-employment physical examination that includes a Tuberculosis screening.

Compensation Range:

$17.99 to $19.70 per hour depending on qualifications and experience; 200 days/year, 8 hours/day. Monday through Friday. E.O.
