Barnwell, SC 29812 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience in creating engaging learning environments. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, guiding classroom activities, and fostering a nurturing atmosphere that promotes the growth and development of each child. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes literacy education. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and supports individual learning styles. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and staff to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s development. Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers and other staff members in the classroom. Organize classroom activities that promote social skills, emotional growth, and cognitive development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Experience in Montessori or daycare settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and best practices in education. Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and children. Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
