Crescent Child Development Center’s mission is to provide an innovative and inclusive learning environment that supports each child’s unique abilities and interests. We are committed to excellence and facilitating the growth and development of both staff and students. Our focus is to provide an accessible, high-quality, and developmentally appropriate educational experience that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development for children 6 weeks and older in a nurturing environment. Our instruction focuses on language and communication development through participation in exploration, play and socialization opportunities, activities of daily living, and evidence-based curriculum activities. Duties The Teacher is responsible for creating lesson plans and related activities, implementing curriculum, providing age-appropriate instruction, managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom, maintaining children’s hygiene, monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional concerns, working with parents to ensure that children are learning and socializing in a positive way and assisting with preparing and serving meals and providing feeding assistance. The Teacher must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment. The teacher will actively engage, encourage, teach, and care for and nurture children. Eligible to work in the United States GED or higher 6 months or more of experience in a licensed childcare facility (preferred but not required) Be 18 years of age. Provide a record of immunizations and a health screening questionnaire. Must clear state and federal background checks and pass a health screening.
