Summer Enrichment Teacher & Early Childhood (3-5-Year-Old) Teacher First African Child Development Center – Making a Difference, One Child at a Time 1. Summer Enrichment Program Teacher (Ages 8-12) We are seeking a passionate and committed educator to join our Summer Enrichment Program . This program supports children from a low-income, Black neighborhood who are living on government assistance. Our goal is to remediate academic gaps in children performing below grade level and enhance learning for those performing at or above grade level.

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging academic lessons tailored to individual student levels Incorporate fun and meaningful activities that reinforce learning Supervise and guide students during field trips to local parks and museums Create a supportive and empowering environment where each child can thrive

Ideal Candidate:

Experienced in working with elementary-aged children (ages 8-12) Culturally competent and sensitive to the needs of underserved communities Creative, organized, and passionate about education equity 2. 3-5-Year-Old Teacher We are also hiring a nurturing and skilled early childhood educator to teach and guide our youngest learners.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate each child’s developmental progress and learning style Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on children’s needs Communicate regularly with parents, offering meaningful feedback on development and growth Organize and lead educational field trips that bring learning to life Incorporate outdoor activities and garden exploration into daily lessons

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with preschool-aged children (3-5 years old) Knowledgeable in child development and early learning best practices Warm, dependable, and skilled in parent-teacher communication Creative in planning age-appropriate indoor and outdoor learning activities Why Work With Us?
