As a Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds during a critical stage of development. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a positive, structured, and stimulating classroom environment where toddlers feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore and grow. A significant aspect of this role involves supporting toddlers through the potty-training process, helping them develop confidence and independence. Brighter Futures Child Development Center is dedicated to nurturing young minds and creating a loving, supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. We believe in positive guidance, developmentally appropriate practices, and fostering a strong partnership with families. Duties Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans Supervise and interact with toddlers in a loving and responsive manner Communicate effectively with parents and team members Guide toddlers through daily routines including diapering, feeding, and potty training Encourage and support children as they learn independence and self-help skills Maintain accurate records of developmental milestones and potty-training progress Follow all DSS regulations and center policies Requirements High school diploma or GED (required) Experience working in a licensed childcare center (preferred) Knowledge of potty training strategies and toddler development Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children at their level Excellent communication and teamwork skills Must complete state-required childcare training (can be completed upon hire) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Background check required Nice To Haves CDA, Associate Degree or Higher Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and education Paid training and professional development opportunities Supportive team environment Opportunities for advancement Making a positive impact in a child?s early years!
