PROGRAM SUPPORT DESCRIPTION
Position Description The Program Support is responsible for assisting throughout the center as needed. The Program Support must be efficient at supervising children, ensuring the safety and physical well-being of the children, maintaining positive interactions with parents, and contributing to the effective operation of the Center. The Program Support Specialist reports to the center Director. Key Responsibilities & Duties Effectively communicate with the Leadership Team, Teachers, and Families Positively impact the environment of the center Ensure children’s routines are carried out in a prompt, hygienic, and consistent manner Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in their care Operate the classroom in a manner that complies with all state licensing regulations and complies with Archer Academy Polices and Procedures Help create a pleasant and inviting atmosphere Provide breaks for Teachers and Teachers Assistants as needed Provide positive guidance to help children develop self-help skills Provide students with a safe, secure, and fun learning environment where they can learn, explore, create, and grow Contribute participation to the operation of the centers required staff meetings and trainings Maintain confidentiality of student information Maintain a professional and approachable appearance Report to the Director Arrive to work consistently and promptly when scheduled Other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required Minimum age of 18 Program Support is considered an entry level position, but experience is preferred High passion for working with children Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a positive team environment An understanding of child development A willingness to support and assist in any area of the school Requirements Background Check Physical CPR and First Aid Certification Minimum of High School Diploma 3 Positive Professional References (supervisors, coaches, and teachers preferred) Must be able to easily adapt and keep up with a fast paced working environment This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children while leading a dedicated team of professionals.
