We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and patient Infant Teacher to provide a warm, stimulating, and safe environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months. The Infant Teacher will support each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through age-appropriate care, routines, and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment. Follow daily routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones. Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents about their child’s progress and daily activities. Observe and document children’s growth, behavior, and milestones. Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies. Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive team environment. Attend required training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; CDA (Child Development Associate) or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Experience working with infants in a licensed child care setting. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be active throughout the day
