Director Assistant of Childcare Center Kids Rock – 3.7 Chattanooga, TN Job Details Full-time $14 – $16 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Childcare CPR Certification Mid-level High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Payroll 2 years Full Job Description Summary The Assistant will work closely with the Director in the overall leadership and management of Kids Rock, Inc. Other responsibilities may include daily operations management, curriculum delivery, employee/student retention and achievement, parent/community relations, policy, and procedure implementation, book/record keeping, model of excellence in demeanor, implementing curriculum and employee relations as well as other assigned duties. Must-Have Childcare Experience. Duties Roles and Responsibilities; Thorough understanding and ability to undertake Assistant Director duties Open and or close the center daily. Stay abreast and understand the Department of Human Services Rules and Regulations. and new developments in early childhood education Support the Regional Director in ensuring proper administration of all requirements of the CACFP Work, interact, and communicate professionally and effectively with all internal and external customers and vendors Prioritize and coordinate staff work assignments Maintains a variety of written materials while preserving the confidentiality of written materials regarding students and personnel. Order and maintain supplies for the site. Work with vendors to coordinate the delivery of materials Supports departmental objectives by performing other related duties as assigned Understanding of ongoing personnel growth and employee development Thorough knowledge of new hire paperwork, orientation, and payroll process Works effectively with team to accomplish long- and short-term goals of the organization Assists in scheduling CPR, First Aid, and staff meetings Markets site to prospective parents and initiates follow-up with prospective parents Openly communicates with parents regarding child’s placement, progress, and changes Welcomes all visitors at the center Assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Work in the classroom as needed Willing to work in the kitchen

Requirements Minimum Requirements:

Sufficient ability to lift 30 lbs. Able to stand and walk approximately 50% of the day. Ability to squat, kneel, crouch, and bend at the knees frequently throughout the day and bend at the waist on an infrequent basis. Ability to reach above the shoulders frequently throughout the day with a weight of up to 10 lbs. Free to employee – background check and Infant/child CPR and First AID certification Must pass a health screening

Education/Experience Required:

Provide documentation of one of the following: High school or high school equivalency diploma and 6 credit hours or more in early childhood, child development, or closely related field in an accredited college or university, or 60 actual hours of instructions, provided in conferences seminars, lectures, or workshops in areas of early childhood, child development, or closely related field, and 24 months or more of childcare experience.
