Early Childhood Educator Walker Academy, LLC 4343 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, managing classroom behavior, and collaborating with parents to support each child’s growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all students. Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss student development and address any concerns. Provide physical education activities that promote health and wellness among young children. Support children with special needs by adapting lessons and providing individualized attention as necessary. Maintain a clean, organized classroom that encourages exploration and creativity. Experience Proven experience working with students in an early childhood setting is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for young learners. Experience in physical education or active play facilitation is a plus. Strong classroom management skills to effectively lead groups of young children. Background in tutoring or providing additional support in preschool or toddler care settings is beneficial. Experience working with children who have special education needs is an asset.
