Join our team at Chambliss Center for Children at Tyner Academy, where you’ll nurture young children while also mentoring high school students preparing for careers in education! We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Teachers to support a mixed-age classroom of children ages 0-5. You’ll help plan and lead engaging activities, maintain a safe and positive learning environment, and serve as a mentor to students in Tyner Academy’s Future Ready Institute.

Important Note:

This is a school-year only position and follows the Hamilton County Schools calendar. This role does not include benefits and will not continue over summer break.

Pay:

Starts at $12/hour with a High School diploma; $14/hour with a CDA; $16/hour with an Associate’s Degree. Rates increase with education and experience.

What You’ll Do:

Support the physical, emotional, educational, and social well-being of children. Assist with planning and leading age-appropriate lessons and activities. Model professional behavior for high school students in the classroom. Maintain classroom safety, order, and cleanliness. Work collaboratively with parents, co-workers, and community partners.

Requirements:

At least 21 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active during an 8-hour shift.
