full time early child development teacher THE Children’s Academy at Hospitots 1219 Trotwood Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Development Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves working with infants up to preschool-aged children, developing engaging lesson plans, and implementing a curriculum that promotes their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Positions are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Responsibilities Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Educate and engage students through hands-on activities, play-based learning, and structured lessons. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive learning community. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and classroom management strategies. Provide toddler care as needed, ensuring the well-being of all children in the classroom. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Requirements Experience working with students in a preschool or early childhood setting is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and early childhood education principles. Ability to plan engaging lessons that promote learning through play and exploration. Familiarity with curriculum development tailored for young learners is an asset. A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their growth in a private school setting.
