Full Time Early Childhood Teacher Little Sprouts Discovery Center 1721 Tom J Hitch Parkway, Columbia, TN 38401 Job Overview Little Sprouts Discovery Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging educational activities. You will work closely with toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and growth while implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans. Responsibilities Develop and implement creative lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Provide high-quality care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among children. Monitor and assess children’s progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children’s development and address any concerns. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about best practices in early childhood education. Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as necessary. Qualifications Experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting is preferred. Knowledge of early childcare principles and practices is essential. Familiarity with special education techniques is a plus. Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for early childhood education. Ability to educate children through play-based learning approaches. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. A nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for fostering children’s growth and development. Relevant certifications in early childhood education or related fields are advantageous.
