Child Care Assistant First Presbyterian Preschool 601 Church Street, Sweetwater, TN 37874 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role involves caring for children of various ages, including toddlers, and requires experience in childcare settings. The Childcare Provider will support children’s development through engaging activities and positive behavior management techniques. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Provide care for toddlers and young children, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with personal hygiene. Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized play area to ensure a safe environment. Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a cohesive care plan for each child. Support children with special needs or developmental challenges as required. Qualifications Previous experience in childcare settings such as nannying, daycare, or special education is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Strong behavior management skills to address various situations effectively. Experience working with students or children in educational settings is a plus. Ability to provide nurturing care while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Excellent communication skills to interact with children and parents effectively.
