Daycare/Preschool Teacher Calvary Baptist Preschool and Daycare 900 Sturgess Street, Kingston, TN 37763 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a Godly, nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality educational experiences that promote curiosity and a love for learning among preschool-aged children. Responsibilities Showing and sharing the love of Jesus to the children. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Monitor and assess each child’s progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a supportive community. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices in early childhood education. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones. Provide care for infants and toddlers as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong background in Early Childhood Education or related field. Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is highly valued. Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly learning environment. Ability to educate children through play-based learning activities that stimulate growth. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children are essential traits for success in this role.
