We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with children, dependable, have a good work ethic and are team players. Candidates should have the ability to take control in the classroom setting, be creative with implementing exciting daily activities for student and must be flexible in moving about the center to ensure that all DHS standards are met. There will be immediate training required after hiring, continuous training will be offered to ensure that our children are cared for in a loving and safe environment. Job Description:
Coordinate and follow educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards by Toddler Town policies. Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching. Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences with the Assistance Director or Director. Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met. Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children. Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards. Maintain accurate records, forms and files. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement. Maintain a clean and sanitize room by following the DHS guidelines and Toddler Town cleaning schedules.
