Preschool Educator Little Learners Literacy Academy 2510 Mount Moriah Road, Memphis, TN 38115 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. The Child Care Teacher will be responsible for developing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Duties Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity. Monitor and assess children’s progress in various areas of development including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. Provide individualized support to children with special needs or behavioral challenges through effective behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to child care and education. Stay informed about the latest developments in early childhood education practices and implement them as appropriate. Experience Previous experience in childcare settings such as nannying or teaching is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education is essential. Experience with toddler care, infant care, or special education is highly valued. Strong skills in caregiving and behavior management are necessary for success in this role. A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
