Dexter Lane, Cordova, TN 38016 Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an engaging summer camp experience. The ideal candidates will be responsible for creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children of various ages. Counselors will lead activities, provide support, and foster positive relationships with campers while promoting personal growth and teamwork. Duties Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers. Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and transitions between activities. Provide support to campers with varying needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral management strategies. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized camp environment. Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere. Experience Candidates should possess skills or experience in the following areas: Early childhood education or related fields. Tutoring or teaching experience with children. Knowledge of childhood development principles. Previous experience in childcare settings such as babysitting or daycare. Familiarity with classroom management techniques. Experience working in a camp setting is preferred but not required. Understanding of behavior management strategies to support diverse camper needs.
