Preschool Assistant Director. Leadership 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars 2006 Johnson Industrial Boulevard, Nolensville, TN 37135 We are searching for a compassionate, self-motivated, and detail-oriented candidate for our Assistant Director position. The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Program Director in ensuring the health, safety and quality of education for all children in the center’s care. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Assistant Director collaborates with the staff to ensure that the curriculum and classroom activities are properly delivered, and that the needs of the students are met. The Assistant Director position has both administrative and teaching responsibilities. Administrative responsibilities include supporting the Director with maintaining student records, managing facility operations, supporting families and teachers, and standing in for the Director when they are off-site. Teaching responsibilities include covering in classrooms as needed and training new teachers that join the center.

REQUIREMENTS

Associates Degree in Child Development, Primary Education, or in related field – Preferred 2+ years of leadership experience in a licensed childcare facility, including oversight for preschool operations Strong background in state licensing regulations, staffing, enrollment and budget management Demonstrated highly effective organizational, time management and multitasking skills Strong commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community
