Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess children’s progress through standardized testing and ongoing observations to tailor instruction to individual needs.
- Utilize early intervention strategies to support children with varying developmental needs.
- Incorporate subjects such as math, physical education, and behavior management into daily activities.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
- Partner with local school districts.
Familiar with Teaching Strategies Gold
Skills - Strong understanding of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Experience working with students in childcare or preschool settings.
- Familiarity with child-centered educational philosophies is a plus.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to effectively assess student progress and implement appropriate interventions when necessary.
- Ability to effectively manage time.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff members.
- Creative problem-solving skills to adapt lessons based on the diverse needs of students.
Job Types:
Open to either part time or full time- schedule would follow the public-school calendar.
Pay:
$30.00 – $38 per hour
Expected hours: Minimum of 10 hours per week

Requirements
Vermont Agency of Education Teaching License with an endorsement in Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education or Elementary Education.
