The specific area of research interest is open. We are interested in candidates who are committed to reproducible science and who have research interests that would be compatible with and complementary to the current research programs in the department. Teaching responsibilities may include introductory and advanced courses in the candidate’s area of training, participation in a teamtaught introduction to psychology course, assisting with the department’s methodology and statistics offerings, and supervision of student independent research.
Colby is a highly selective liberal arts college recognized for excellence in undergraduate education and close studentfaculty interaction. We believe the best way to learn the science of psychology is by engaging our faculty and students in a collaborative search for new knowledge about human cognition, emotion, and behavior.•To this end, we have a unique curriculum that engages students in research at all levels.
