Arts and Sciences | Psychology Lecturer Department of Psychology College of Arts and Sciences Position Overview The Department of Psychology at The Ohio State University seeks a few outstanding candidates for Associated Faculty positions beginning August 2025. Duties will include teaching in-person core and advanced courses in psychology on the Columbus campus. Initial appointment will be for one year and is renewable. Anticipated teaching load is three or four courses per semester. Full-time associated faculty also have a 10% service requirement. Performance Objectives

• Ensure curriculum implementation and course preparation in accordance with school standards.
• Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning.
• Prepare homework and exams; evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
• Meet scheduled classes and office hours in accordance with university policy.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress; submit final grade rosters in accordance with established university deadlines.

Doctoral or Masters degree in psychology (with expectation of doctoral completion within 2 years). Evidence of expertise in effective teaching at the undergraduate level; 1 year teaching experience at the college level.

Desired:

Strong knowledge of Ohio State student population and general education requirements; experience teaching large-enrollment courses in a large, land-grant university setting; experience teaching Introductory Psychology at the college level; pedagogical training in evidence-based teaching; ability to teach developmental and/or clinical focused courses.
