Reading Specialist for Fleeta Junior High School Job Status Open Posting Date 6/24/25 Closing Date System/School Covington County Schools Job Title Reading Specialist Job Type Description ALSDE requires the following minimum qualifications for local reading specialists: A) The required Alabama Professional Educator Certificate B) A bachelor’s degree and advanced coursework or professional development in the science of reading, such as multisensory language instruction, or comparable alternative training approved by the State Board of Education C) A minimum of two years of experience as a successful elementary or literacy teacher Area of certification, experience, and qualifications will be determining factors in selection.
