Reading Specialist for Fleeta Junior High School Job Status Open Posting Date 6/24/25 Closing Date System/School Covington County Schools Job Title Reading Specialist Job Type Description ALSDE requires the following minimum qualifications for local reading specialists: A) The required Alabama Professional Educator Certificate B) A bachelor’s degree and advanced coursework or professional development in the science of reading, such as multisensory language instruction, or comparable alternative training approved by the State Board of Education C) A minimum of two years of experience as a successful elementary or literacy teacher Area of certification, experience, and qualifications will be determining factors in selection. The person selected for this position may be required to take on extracurricular responsibilities. See the Alabama Literacy Law HB388 for a complete list of requirements. Reports To Principal Start Date August 2025

Salary Range :

From/To Commensurate with experience and education as determined by Covington County Schools’ salary schedule.
