4th/5th Grade Reading Teacher Somerset Pines Academy 901 NE 33rd Street, Pompano Beach, FL 33064 4th/5th Grade Reading Teacher Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for educating young minds in literacy. This role requires effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and enriching educational experience. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Educate students in foundational subjects such as literacy and math while promoting critical thinking skills. Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to meet diverse learning needs. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance, behavior, and academic growth. Foster social-emotional development by encouraging collaboration and respect among students. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; certification in Elementary Education is preferred. Valid FLDOE teaching certificate US work authorization Strong understanding of childhood development principles and literacy education methodologies. Excellent written communication skills for lesson planning, proofreading, and reporting student progress. Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior while creating an inclusive environment for all students. Experience working in a private school setting is a plus but not required. A genuine passion for educating children and fostering their love for learning.
