Reading Specialist North Naples Therapy and Enrichment Services 1421 Pine Ridge Road, Naples, FL 34109 Overview North Naples Therapy & Enrichment Services is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Reading Specialist to join our dynamic therapy team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing literacy development across a diverse population of learners. This role involves providing targeted reading support while collaborating closely with students, families, educators, and interdisciplinary professionals to foster literacy skills both in and beyond the classroom. The Reading Specialist will play a key role in promoting reading confidence, academic success, and a lifelong love of literature within a nurturing and inclusive environment. Duties Assess students’ reading abilities and develop individualized learning plans tailored to their needs. Implement effective reading interventions and instructional strategies to improve literacy skills. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate reading strategies across the curriculum. Provide one-on-one sessions for students requiring support in reading. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and strategies for home support. Support students with disabilities by adapting materials and teaching methods as needed. Participate in academic advising and provide guidance on literacy-related educational pathways. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences: Experience in teaching, particularly in reading or literacy education. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups, including students, parents, and faculty. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
