The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate a commitment to fostering literacy development in young learners. This role involves working closely with students, teachers, and parents to enhance reading skills and promote a love for literature in a supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Assess students’ reading abilities and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement individualized reading programs tailored to each student’s needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate reading strategies into the curriculum. Provide one-on-one or small group instruction focused on enhancing reading comprehension and fluency. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary. Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and provide resources for at-home support. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in literacy education. Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early literacy skills. Experience in curriculum development, particularly related to reading instruction. Ability to manage conflicts effectively and create a positive classroom environment. Background in childcare or preschool settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with teaching physical education can be an asset for holistic student development. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
