The ReadingTeacher is responsible for providing reading instruction andtraining to students in the Career Education Center. Thisindividual will develop individual achievement plans and academicgoals to ensure student academic achievement in the program. Workswith the Career Technical Training (CTT) Instructors to infuseapplied academics into CTT curricula to enhance student learningand success.

SALARY:

$55k annually

M-F, 7:45am-4:45pm(year round)

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible to providestudents with reading instruction leading to GED or high schooldiploma completion and improved literacy and skills Providesstudents with comprehensive and individualized case management thatensures student progress, achievement and completion of the JobCorps program Ensures classroom is well organized and conducive tostudent learning Holds students accountable for following Center’sdress code/behavioral standards of conduct Produces qualitywork/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate mannerMaintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and workproductivity standards Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignmentsto meet established goals and deadlines Understands and applies jobknowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilitiesOther duties as assigned Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

& EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree from an accredited school required, Master’sdegree preferred Valid RI teaching certificate required Previousteaching or Job Corps experience strongly preferred Physicalrequirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting,pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouchingAdams and Associates, Inc. abides by the requirements of 41 CFR §§60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
