We are seeking a dynamic educator and strong leader to join our team as a Title I Coordinator/ Reading and Math Specialist. This role supports our Title I eligible elementary students and respective staff under professional guidance and supervision from the School Reading and Math Specialists. Title I Reading and Math Facilitators work with children individually or in small groups by providing appropriate reading and math interventions and strategies developmentally appropriate to the student(s) and consistent with Title I provisions.
Responsibilities
- Requires knowledge in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, behavior management, life skills, and educational professionalism to provide student instruction as specified in the state professional educator certification (and to provide staff assistance with literacy and mathematic concerns in the classroom).
- Prepare and organize learning materials to support teaching and learning of reading and mathematics.
- Assist in the potential identification of students with reading and math difficulties.
- Carry out assessment activities to collect and document objective information about the students’ strengths and needs.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, students, and other appropriate staff members on student progress.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in education or other related field preferred or academic equivalence in a related job with a minimum of 5 years
- Prior classroom teaching experience preferred
- Current NH Certification – Paraprofessional II or higher
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
