Position Summary:
The position is full-time and carries all faculty responsibilities for teaching and other duties commensurate with full-time faculty status. The candidate will also be considered to act as the Degree Program Coordinator for the Exercise Science program. The position carries full fringe benefits of university employment.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
- Design and teach undergraduate courses in the Exercise Science Program
- Serve as Degree Program Coordinator for the BS in Exercise Science.
- Work with the chair and faculty to recruit students to study at TMU
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Doctorate in Exercise Science or closely related field is required with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours or 30 graduate quarter hours earned in the field of study. Dynamic individuals with a master’s degree will also be considered. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, teaching both introductory and major courses, including physiology, kinesiology, pharmacology, biomechanics, nutrition, wellness, and/or research methods. Candidates with past research experience and a desire to lead undergraduate research are highly sought. The successful candidate must be an active Christian, fully supportive of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and the goals and objectives of the institution.
