Chemistry Huntingdon College (Montgomery, Alabama) invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (or Instructor) of Chemistry to begin August 1, 2025. This is a tenure-track position, requiring a 24-credit hour teaching load of face-to-face teaching of a range of courses contributing to majors in Biochemistry and Chemistry, plus requirements in student advising, service, and scholarly activity. The bulk of the teaching load will be in first-year General Chemistry, but there is opportunity to teach upper-level courses in Physical Chemistry, Advanced Inorganic Chemistry, and Student Research. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching, especially in teaching first-year college students, and a strong commitment to ethical behavior and professionalism. Required Qualifications:

An earned Ph.D. in Chemistry. Master’s-prepared candidates and ABDs nearing completion will be considered for an instructor-level position; an appointment to the tenure track requires a terminal degree.

Experience teaching at the university/college level.
