MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the diocese’s curriculum with educational standards. Also teaching health to grades 4-5 and religion to homeroom Show written evidence of preparation and adapt lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Assess student progress regularly and use results to inform instructional activities. Collaborate effectively with grade level teachers and special education staff to modify curricula as needed and achieve instructional goals. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and supports the physical, social, and emotional development of students. Maintain open lines of communication through conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers, conveying student strengths and challenges as per school guidelines. Uphold professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community members. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance job-related skills. Attend faculty meetings and participate actively in school committees. Demonstrate consistent attendance to maintain a focus on student learning. Take responsibility for leading one student club at Holy Trinity.
GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Education/Certification/Experience:
Must hold an Ohio state teaching license appropriate for teaching science in the state of Ohio.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of science and religion curricula and effective instruction strategies. Proficient in using educational technology and resources to enhance learning experiences. Strong skills in communication, organization, problem-solving, critical thinking, and flexibility. Ability to present information clearly and effectively, manage multiple priorities, and oversee student behavior.
