Aftercare Science Teacher Position Available In Capitol, Connecticut

Aftercare Science Teacher Trilogy Health, LLC 36 Westledge Road, West Simsbury, CT 06092 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team this fall to teach an 8 week Science Experiment class in our aftercare program Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon’s. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves teaching students about various scientific concepts, encouraging critical thinking, and promoting a love for science through engaging lessons and hands-on activities. The Science Teacher will work closely with students to support their academic growth and development. Duties Collectively develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in science. Educate students on fundamental scientific principles, theories, and practices across various branches of science. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration but most importantly make it a fun learning experience through engaging hands on experiments during an 8 week after care program. Foster an understanding of childhood development principles to support the diverse needs of students. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a focus on Science is preferred. Experience working with students in a classroom setting, particularly in private school or daycare environments, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively convey scientific concepts to students of varying ages and backgrounds. Familiarity with childcare practices and childhood development theories is beneficial. Ability to create an engaging learning atmosphere that promotes curiosity and exploration in science.
