July 1, 2025 Job Description Bayshore Christian School is seeking a highly qualified and skilled individual to join our team as the Upper Division Science Teacher. This individual will provide instruction and guidance to help students explore and understand important concepts in science, including problem-solving evidence gathering and the scientific method while incorporating a Biblical worldview into all lessons. Job Responsibilities The UD Science teacher is responsible for preparing class lesson plans based on school guidelines and grade levels. This may include preparing daily instruction outlines, classroom assignments, special projects, homework, labs, and tests. This teacher must be detail-oriented, effective at problem-solving, and have excellent instructional skills. Essential Duties Teach a variety of science classes based on the needs of the current year Physical Science Biology Anatomy Forensic Science Chemistry Physics Marine Biology Create daily lesson plans and learning activities for students Maintain student records to show attendance, grades, and conduct Observe and evaluate each student’s performance Conduct parent and student conferences Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Participate in afterschool activities throughout the year including but not limited to Open Campus, Annual Fund, Fun Run, Christmas Musical, Spring Gala. Participate in other duties as a faculty member Minimum Qualifications, Training and Experience Demonstrated spiritual maturity. Professing born-again Christian. Regular attendance at a Christian church for spiritual growth. Preferred minimum three years teaching experience at the middle school or high school level but not required The teacher has a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Preferred Degree in education but not required. Professional teaching certification preferred but not required. Applicant’s willingness to sign an intent to earn for a teaching certificate in the state of FL within three years of hire. Good oral and written communication skills. Proficient use of technology.
