The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth. This position is departmentalized and includes teaching an advanced math section of 6th grade math standards. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals. Utilize learning technology to enhance student understanding and engagement in mathematics. Assess student performance through standardized testing and provide feedback to support academic improvement. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience, including integrating library services into lesson plans. Support early childhood education initiatives by adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Provide early intervention strategies for students who may require additional assistance in mathematics. Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns related to childhood development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Experience in middle school math is a plus.
