The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of science through engaging lessons and hands-on activities. This position requires a strong understanding of various scientific disciplines, including cell biology and mathematics, as well as the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and foster student engagement in scientific concepts. Conduct classroom instruction in various scientific subjects, including but not limited to cell biology, trigonometry, and discrete math. Utilize learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the educational experience. Assess student performance through regular testing, projects, and assignments; provide constructive feedback to support student growth. Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate students with diverse learning needs. Facilitate laboratory experiments and ensure a safe learning environment for all students. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic performance. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in science education. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Strong knowledge of scientific research methodologies and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with proofreading skills to ensure clarity and accuracy in instructional materials. Experience or coursework in special education is a plus, enabling effective teaching strategies for all learners. Proficiency in utilizing learning technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and student interaction. Knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts such as differential equations is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
