Teaching Full Job Description Job Description:

Hadar High School for Girls is seeking a highly qualified and passionate individual to join our high school faculty as a part-time chemistry teacher . This position involves teaching one section of chemistry to high school students. The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and a deep understanding of related concepts. This is a part-time position with a focus on providing engaging and comprehensive instruction to foster students’ understanding and appreciation of the subject matter.

Compensation:

This is a W-2 salaried position paying $12,100 for the 2025-2026 academic year. The position consists of five 40-minute class periods per week, scheduled Monday through Thursday (no Friday classes).

Responsibilities:
Delivering Effective Instruction:

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards. Use a variety of instructional strategies to facilitate student learning and understanding of chemistry concepts.

Classroom Management:

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active student participation, respect, and academic growth. Establish clear expectations for behavior, conduct classroom activities, and manage student interactions effectively.

Assessments and Grading:

Design and administer assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student understanding and progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate assessment results to students and parents/guardians.

Individualized Support:

Monitor student progress and provide additional support or interventions to students who require assistance. Offer individualized instruction and guidance to ensure student success and academic growth.

Curriculum Development:

Collaborate with other faculty members to review and update the chemistry curriculum based on current educational standards, research, and best practices. Contribute to the development of instructional materials and resources.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field ( Master’s degree preferred ) Prior teaching experience, preferably in a high school setting Strong knowledge and understanding of chemistry concepts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment Proficiency in integrating technology and educational resources to enhance instruction Commitment to student success and ongoing professional growth

Note:

This is a part-time position, consisting of five 40-minute class periods per week, Monday through Thursday .
