Nest Hockey Academy is a Christian school that integrates faith, academic excellence, and athletic achievement. We strive to nurture students’ spiritual growth, intellectual development, and physical talents, fostering a Christ-centered environment where scholar-athletes thrive both on and off the ice. We are seeking a Certified Middle-High School Math Teacher, as well as a Certified Middle-High School Science Teacher, who is passionate about education and committed to incorporating Christian values into the learning process. The ideal candidate will inspire students in mathematics/science, support their spiritual journey, and contribute to the academy’s mission of developing well-rounded, Christ-centered student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
Teach middle-high school-level math or science courses.
Support and implement lesson plans that integrate faith-based principles and values.
Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills through dynamic and engaging teaching methods.
Provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments to monitor and encourage student progress.
Collaborate with the academy’s faculty and staff to align academic and athletic schedules effectively.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Maintain a Christ-centered classroom environment that promotes academic growth and spiritual maturity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification in middle/high school mathematics (state-specific certification required) or teaching certification in middle/high school science.
Previous teaching experience at the high school level preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment guided by Christian principles.
Ability to adapt to the unique demands of an academy combining academics, athletics, and faith-based education.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$47,500.00 – $57,390.00 per year
